United States of America - Virginia, Portsmouth Job Summary AECOM is actively seeking a Windows System Administrator to provide technical service to a government customer on-site at St. Julien's Creek, Portsmouth, VA. Essential Responsibilities: * Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune, set standards and maintain a range of computer network components and systems. * Provide server and operating system administration, including log and alert monitoring and troubleshooting. * Manage network performance to maintain high-quality transmission service on the network. * Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software, and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity, * Server deployment (physical and virtual), system and security update management, and configuration management via SCCM. * Provide server and workstation hardware troubleshooting, repair, and evaluation. * Provide SCCM/SCOM administration, to include vulnerability remediation, software deployment, and system monitoring. * Directs customer interface for program guidance, testing, systems analysis, and other system-related tasks as needed. * Prepares detailed documented requirements for selected activities (i.e., data management, configuration management, program management, etc.) * Complies with hardware and software systems STIGS, standards, and procedures. * Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, math, engineering or equivalent. * Five years' experience Windows Server, Networking Computerized System experience, to include: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, UNIX and Windows-based operating systems. * Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, processes, and implementation. * Position requires a Security+ and Microsoft Windows certifications. Other certifications may satisfy CSWF requirements. * Will be required to complete the following certification or other designated approved certification within one and a half years after assuming duties. * Excellent communications and analytical skills; demonstrated working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. * Position may require travel. * Position requires an Active Secret DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
